My Quilting Story…
My mom taught me to sew when I was a kid, and I would make clothes and stuffed animals. As I got older, we started taking quilting classes just to spend time together, and I fell in love with the idea of making tee-shirt quilts. I made my first one out of my old high school clothes and then began making them with my kids’ baby clothes and sports jerseys. With my nerdy “math brain” and my love for excel, I was able to find a unique way of creating different size blocks in my quilts that would allow for more shirts and logos than a typical “grid” pattern. People who would come to our home and see them would compliment them and start asking how they could get one! And so Tees To Memories was born. My husband bought me a used quilting machine, and we set up shop in our basement. And that is where we continue to operate today!
